Barcelona, 2017
The objective of the project is the transformation of a situation in the Barceloneta neighborhood.
The situation was chosen after a first visit to the Barceloneta neighborhood and a first investigation of the neighborhood and its identity.
The poet Boscà square has always been the meeting point for the inhabitants of the Barceloneta neighborhood, a place to meet to socialize, play, eat or simply rest. Years ago the square was a soccer field called the Repla, where most of the residents of the neighborhood came to play when they were younger. This tradition of coming down to play on the track was lost when it was torn down, nowadays the track is not physically there, but it is in the minds of all those who used to come to play and you can still hear people talking about it.
The spaces to play in the square are focused on a young profile of young age and the others run around the square behind the soccer ball or skate, therefore, this project is based on creating temporary spaces for people to play and enhance their imagination whatever age they are and are themselves who create these spaces through open design facilities and digital fabrication.
